Palace of Expositions

The Palace of Expositions is a neoclassical building located in the center of Rome in Via Nazionale. Designed by Pio Piacentini, it was inaugurated in 1883. The building, owned by the municipality of Rome, has been and is home of many events and art exhibitions.

During the Fascist period its front during some shows (Exhibition of the Fascist Revolution, Augustan Exhibition of the Roman World) was temporarily changed because his style was considered out of step with the times. Over time the Exhibition Hall has been restored several times and functionally adequate. Among the major restorations include those of 1981/89 on draft Dardi and that of the 2003/2007 study ABDR, Maria Laura Arlotti, Michele Beccu, Paolo Desideri, Philip Raymond, during which he was also rebuilt in key and bioclimatic technologies and contemporary materials, the original volume of the "Serra" window.

From 1927 to 2004 it was home to the offices and exhibitions of the Rome Quadrennial and remains the prime exhibitions of Art Quadrennial.
